Almost antique metal rotating store dispenser case for BOYE BRAND sewing machine needles, shuttles and bobbins made for multiple sewing machine manufacturers.  Case made by THE
BOYE NEEDLE CO. of Chicago, USA., R
EG. IN U.S. PAT. OFF. JAN. 26, 1929 and probably made through 1930s.  The sewing machine manufacturers of the time (1930s) are printed on the outer rim of the case sectioned off for each type and size of sewing machine needle, shuttle or bobbin made by BOYE.  You rotate the metal center arrow to select the item and then swing the door with the metal knob open to pull out the cylinder wooden case with the part in it.
This interesting dispenser includes only 2 empty cylinder

cases with identifying caps on them.  Measures about 16" diameter, 3-5/16" high plus extra 1/2" including knob height and weighs just over 6 pounds.  Good condition with working parts.  Does have rust spots, dings, and scratches and some faded or worn graphics as shown in photos. There is 1 shallow dent on the top edge as shown in photos.  I have cleaned with soap and water and rubbed off some rust, but I don't think you can do much more without wearing off the graphics.  Still a good display and conversation piece.
