Antique Turned Wood Treen Miniature Barrel Needle Case or Pin Container

Here is a beautiful, antique, turned wooden 'treen' needle case in the form of a miniature barrel.
It dates from the second half of the 19th century, and is of the period.
It measures 3- 1/8th inches tall, by 2 inches in diameter.
This item is in excellent condition, with dark golden stain and a nice patina.
The lid holds tight, but opens easily.
